For almost ten years, Hakim Karki has been repeating the same thing.
No, he did not rape Sabine (the first name has been changed), this young teacher he met on the night of July 1 to 2, 2014 at Caribou, a bar on the island of Mayotte.
His fellow magistrates at the Paris Assize Court did not believe this version.
On December 16, 2022, they sentenced the former investigating judge to 8 years in prison.
A shock for Hakim Karki who is on trial from this Tuesday March 19 on appeal in Créteil (Val-de-Marne).
Released after a few weeks of detention, he appeared free and once again heard his innocence and his conviction that the accusations against him were the result of an “attempt at destabilization linked to his functions”.
“We intend to demonstrate the innocence of Judge Karki in this case which rests only on sand,” thunders his new lawyer, Me Frank Berton.
