A child aged only eight, attending the Saint-Charles private elementary school in Saint-Étienne (Loire), threatened to stab his teacher as well as the police on Friday, according to information from Le Figaro.
The events took place on Friday shortly before nine o'clock, in this school located near the city center.
Warned by her students that one of the children in the class was threatening to stab her and the police, the teacher alerted the school principal.
“His age prevents any prosecution”
The latter quickly went to the classroom and searched the schoolbag of the student who made the threats.
Inside, she discovers two steak knives.
The eight-year-old child was excluded and his parents were summoned by the management of the establishment.
“The minor and his parents were interviewed,” Saint-Étienne public prosecutor David Charmatz told Le Figaro.
“He is only 8 years old but disputes the comments attributed to him.
His age prevents any prosecution and we will analyze the facts in the light of the psychological or psychiatric expertise that is carried out,” he continues.
The school principal filed a complaint on Friday, a few hours after the incident.
