Audi's near future towards electric mobility also passes through the new A3 allstreet and the latest generation internal combustion engines.
The arrival in the range of the new version of A3 also continues the success story of the model which has represented a cornerstone of recent decades for the house of the four rings.
"The A3 is a fundamental model for Audi - commented Fabrizio Longo, director of Audi Italia - because since its debut in 1996 it has established the new concept of compact premium, which over the years has been the subject of a dynamic interpretation and has benefited from all the technology we have developed for the higher levels of models, from the engine to the design. This success deserved to also have its all-terrain interpretation, more muscular, always with compact dimensions and a cabin in step with the times, starting from the technology at the service of security".
All steps towards electric mobility by Audi for the future are confirmed, also given the investment plan for the next few years.
However, within this strategy there is also space for the development of new endothermic engines, accompanied by electric ones, each with its own native platform.
All of this, with the aim of accompanying the electric transition also with latest generation petrol and diesel engines.
"The direction towards electric - underlined Longo - is not in the slightest under discussion but rather we also reaffirm it with an investment plan of 41 billion between now and 2028, for which the point of arrival is electric mobility. We take note of the times of the transition which depend on the regions and markets of the world in which we operate. We therefore also accompany the transition with internal combustion engines. 70% of our investments will go to the electrical cause and 30% will be kept for the development of internal combustion engines, on two native platforms".
The presentation of the new Audi allstreet, last Friday evening at the Teatro Alcione, located in Piazza Vetra, in the heart of Milan, was staged under the message 'Audi A3 allstreet, everywhere is here'.
"We feel at home in Milan - commented Longo - because ten years ago, Audi City Lab was born here, which later became Audi House Of Progress, which will be back on air in mid-April for the design week and not just to talk about automotive but of values to which Audi has always been open. Milan is the place where, if you have an idea, consider going. It is the place where many stories are born and for this very reason we have chosen some characters who in Milan have seen their dreams come true, also to present the new A3 allstreet".
