Highlights: Green Ncap tests 4 cars for families - Sustainable Mobility. Volkswagen's battery-powered proposal, the ID.7, combines generous external and internal dimensions with the efficiency of a compact car. Three stars and a score of 51% for the Opel Astra 1.5 CDTi, a wagon equipped with the 8-speed automatic transmission. Green Ncap indicates how mileage increases on the motorway, and also considers the performance of the exhaust gas post-treatment system to be improved on shorter journeys with cold engine starts.

Four other models were evaluated by the Green Ncap tests, these are cars suitable for families, of which two are electric, one hybrid, and one turbodiesel, specifically the Volkswagen ID. (HANDLE)

Four other models were evaluated by the Green Ncap tests, these are cars suitable for families, of which two are electric, one hybrid, and one turbodiesel, namely the Volkswagen ID.7, the Škoda Enyaq, the Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid, and of the Opel Astra 1.5 CDTi in wagon variant.

Cars with different technology, but still characterized by sustainability.

Volkswagen's battery-powered proposal, the ID.7, combines generous external and internal dimensions with the efficiency of a compact car, given that it offers a range of 506 km in real driving and an average of 370 km on the motorway at 130 km /h.

Also equipped with great ride comfort, the German company's electric wagon achieved an overall score of 98%, obtaining a five-star rating.

The same number of stars also goes to the Škoda Enyaq, whose overall score, 96%, is slightly lower, despite having the same battery capacity, 77 kWh, as the ID.7.

Like its Teutonic cousin, however, the Enyaq has a significant mass which, in part, affects energy consumption, without however significantly affecting its autonomy.

Three stars and a score of 51% for the Opel Astra 1.5 CDTi, a wagon equipped with the 8-speed automatic transmission, which lowers NOx emissions through a rather effective exhaust gas after-treatment system.

According to Green Ncap, the overall score is lowered by consumption values higher than those officially declared.

Consumption that also affects the overall score, 49%, and the stars, two, of the Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid with 2.0-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine, electric drive engine and automatic transmission (CVT).

Specifically, Green Ncap indicates how mileage increases on the motorway, and also considers the performance of the exhaust gas post-treatment system to be improved on shorter journeys with cold engine starts, and in situations of high power demand such as overtaking. on the highway.
