High schools are temporarily closed this Monday morning in the Alsatian region, the result of a “malicious message” sent via the My digital office platform, according to information from France Bleu Alsace.

According to the Haut-Rhin prefecture, contacted by Le Parisien, 15 establishments in the region have been evacuated and are subject to “verifications” by the police.

These prefectural decisions follow a national wave of threats against educational establishments at the end of last week, forcing the authorities to be vigilant.

Reinforced security in the Somme

The establishments concerned remain closed while the police carry out security checks.

In Strasbourg, the Kléber middle school was evacuated shortly after the doors opened at 8 a.m.

At Bartholdi high school in Colmar, parents were notified by message this morning of the closure of the establishment.

According to the prefecture, classes will only resume once “doubts about a potential threat have been lifted”.

The Somme prefecture spoke to France Bleu about “reinforced security conditions” near high schools this Monday morning, but no closure of establishments.

As for the Reims academy, around ten establishments located in Marne, Ardennes, Aube and Haute-Marne have been victims of threats according to the rectorate,

A wave of online threats

In Hauts-de-France this time, it was messages sent on the night of Friday March 22 to Saturday March 23 which pushed the authorities to sound the alarm.

In a press release published on Sunday March 24, the Northern prefecture mentioned the hacking of around fifteen establishments in Lille via the ENT, and announced “reinforced security conditions” this Monday.

The academy's rectorate has filed a complaint, and school messaging is closed until further notice.

In Oise, three establishments are subject to particular surveillance following threats of attack.

The Mireille-Grenet high schools in Compiègne, François-Truffaut high schools in Beauvais and the Ferdinand Buisson middle school in Grandvilliers are currently secured by the police, and a listening cell has been set up.

Last week, in Île-de-France, 122 establishments were targeted by threats of the same type, with the same operating mode.

Last Friday, Minister of Education Nicole Belloubet spoke of “false alarms”.
