This is a new major raid in ultra-right circles.
Ten activists were arrested this Monday in several departments including Rhône and Haute-Savoie, in particular by the services of the Anti-Terrorism Sub-Directorate (SDAT).
All are accused of having participated, on November 11, in acts of intimidation and violence during a conference organized by the Palestine 69 collective. The attack left seven injured, three of whom were serious.
It had been claimed on a Telegram loop by the Guignol Squad, an informal ultra-right group accustomed to violent actions in Lyon.
Among the activists placed in police custody today is a former treasurer of the Lyon GUD but also an activist already sentenced to five months in prison for having participated, on November 25, in the raid in Romans-sur-Isère ( Drôme) of the ultra-right, on the sidelines of the tragedy of Crépol and the death of Thomas, 16, killed by a stab wound.
Others arrested have already been noted for having thrown punches during incidents on the sidelines of the CAN in 2019 in Lyon after Algeria's victory.
