When Berald and Kobi Suisa talk in "Golstar", even five-year-old children cringe in embarrassment - voila! culture

Highlights: The 11th season of the celebs/soccer/what the hell is going on here reality show, "Golstar", opens with a pathos-filled naima. The professional team led by Shia Feigenbaum and Giovanni Russo is trying to establish a soccer team that will compete with a group of local players. Along the way the viewers will get to see some grown men insulting, cursing, dressing in embarrassing costumes and above all making the real Israel soccer team look (a little) less bad.

The 11th season of the celebs/soccer/what the hell is going on here reality show, "Golstar", opens with a pathos-filled naima and a zoom-in movement that takes us straight from outer space to the filming location in the Greek islands.

If you have never watched the format, this is probably another part where you could get confused and think that you are just before the beginning of a new cinematic epic directed by Ridley Scott;

If you know "Golstar" you already understand that the next thing you will see will be particularly stupid - for example, Yaron Berald uses a plastic toy to imitate the birth of Elad Tsafani, or as he often calls himself: Elad the dwarf.

Yes, more than ten years have passed since "Gulstar" first appeared on HOT screens and it feels that the criticisms of its low humor and vulgarity did not exactly move its creators.

On the contrary, the new season seems to celebrate this stupidity more than ever.

It's really hard to think of a reality show with a more random structure.

Although the season is not defined as an All-Star season, most of the participants have appeared in it in the past and much more than once.

Among the familiar faces here you will find Berald, commentator Raz Zahavi, retired "Big Brother" winners Jackie Menachem and Eliraz Sde, tennis players Andy Ram and Yoni Ehrlich, Lior Dayan, Liam Golan (this time without father Eyal who decided not to participate this season) and the duo Which made me hold my head more than once (and not for the right reasons): Hamimo and Kobi Suisa that is KS "the brand".

This is such a random group of people that sometimes it feels as if they all ran to the protected space during an alarm and accidentally found themselves on the plane to Greece.

Once again, the professional team led by Shia Feigenbaum and Giovanni Russo is trying to establish a soccer team that will compete with a group of local players and along the way the viewers will get to see some grown men insulting, cursing, dressing in embarrassing costumes and above all making the real Israel soccer team look (a little) less bad.

The interesting purchase actor of the season and the one around whom all the PR work of the series was built is Ian Ziering, who played Steve in the ultimate youth series "Beverly Hills 90210" and since then his greatest achievement is that he has not retired from the field.

The Jewish Ziering joins the team in the sixth episode or so to give the team some reinforcement from the outside, just like we expect to receive these days from our people who live in the diaspora.

You don't have to be an expert on Israel-US relations to understand that Ziering soon regrets the move and wonders what went wrong in a country that was once considered a miracle for the Gentiles.

Ziering is not one of the biggest stars to come out of "Beverly", even in real time he was more of a second line in the cycle book, but since the series ended his career has mainly consisted of roles in the "Sharkando" style cartoons (viewing at your own risk) and the American version of "Dancing with stars".

Still, it seems that the encounter with types like Hamimo and Kobi Suisse is a bit much for the reserved sixty-year-old Hollywood star who often looks like he's going to fire the agent who signed the contract with him.

Even when they speak in Hebrew, the texts that come out of the mouths of the "Golstar" stars are a show of embarrassment and gross stupidity.

I'm not just talking about Berald who looks like a clown's toy that someone forgot to add a coin to and stuck with the same joke for years, not even Hamimo and Kobi Suisse who are supposed to make even five year olds move uncomfortably in front of the screen.

Even the intellectuals of the group such as Lior Dayan, Eliraz Sade, Raz Zahavi and Andioni - yes, intellectuality is relative - find themselves in embarrassing situations here that lead them to behave like 14-year-old boys who got into an argument on the neighborhood soccer field.

Add to that the total ridiculousness of the entire cast who can't really communicate with Ziering in English and you get a series that can be used as propaganda material against Israel at the UN. "Golstar" has all the "qualities" of the thrillers of the late Yehuda Barkan, only the year is 2024 And even the audience that likes trash (me for example), hopes to receive it with some added value or at least a pinch of self-awareness.

A well-known evil of the Israeli reality show is the excessive use of monologues by the program participants in front of the cameras, those scenes in which the participants sit in a room with a director and a camera and interpret the events that happened to them.

It's a particularly lazy "patent" designed to cover up shooting days where not enough interesting things were said.

In "Golstar" this technique is taken to the extreme to the point that there are almost no quotes that come from the outdoor shots themselves and in their place most of the episodes consist of the program's participants speaking in front of the camera.

If it had been conducted differently, "Gulstar" could have become the Israeli "Jackass" - the infantile stunt team of Johnny Noxivel that took the stupidity of its product and turned it into a work of art that fans of low and high TV enjoy together.

Instead, "Golstar" chooses to celebrate its mediocrity and further adds sin to crime and takes it abroad so that everyone can see the less beautiful face of Israel.
