150 police officers were mobilized this Tuesday morning to carry out a series of searches in Hauts-de-Seine.
Before leaving for the field, the police were able to speak with the Minister of the Interior Gérald Darmanin, who came to mobilize the troops as part of the “Place net XXL” plan, launched by the government in Marseille last week. .
After nine operations of this type in the department, the number of deal points has fallen drastically, going from 96 in 2023 to 47 today.
But for Gérald Darmanin, there is no question of releasing the pressure on drug traffickers.
“We are not giving up, and we are going to fight.
I am very proud of our collective work, of these operations which are increasing,” said the minister to the police, a few minutes before kick-off.
If the authorities are determined to increase the number of raids of this type, they want to tackle trafficking over time, recalled the Paris Police Prefect, Laurent Nuñez, also present this morning.
“What we are doing today is very important, but the objective is to maintain our presence, and to really clear the air,” he insisted.
