Yael Ben Habib, a participant in Kan 11's "Let's Eat With Me" program, expresses homophobia/Kaan 11
The Public Broadcasting Corporation announced today (Tuesday) on the social network X (formerly Twitter) the launch of an Israeli version in Arabic of the ritual docu-reality "Come Eat With Me".
Arab contestants have participated in the Hebrew version of the show in the past, but this season, which will be broadcast on Mecha channel 33, will be conducted entirely in the Arabic language.
Meanwhile, registration for auditions has already begun.
"We are looking for cooks who like to host and be entertained, opinionated, and rowdy, funny, in short everything that is 'come eat with me'," the corporation's account on the social network reads in Hebrew, with a link to register.
As part of the "Let's Eat With Me" format, several amateur chefs meet and host each other for an elaborate three-course dinner for a week.
At the heart of the matter is the meeting, sometimes bizarre, between people from different ends of Israeli society.
The Hebrew version of the program, accompanied by narration by the comedian Shai Avivi and written by Dekla Kider, has over the years gained a devoted audience of fans.
