Apple announced yesterday (Tuesday) that its annual developer conference (WWDC 2024) will take place between June 10 and 14, and will be moved to .
Alongside the conference events intended for developers, Apple will also hold a special event at Apple Park, the company's headquarters, on the same day.
A limited number of developers, who will be chosen by lottery, along with journalists, will be invited to participate in the event and watch with Apple people the presentation of the announcements, which will probably be pre-recorded.
What can we expect to see at the opening event?
The WWDC conference usually focuses on innovations in the field of software, so it is likely that we will hear details about Apple's developments in the field of artificial intelligence in the last year.
According to reports, the company is expected to present a series of future updates to its operating systems, including iOS 18, iPadOS 18, tvOS 18, macOS 15 and watchOS 11. Also, there is a high probability that the company will reveal the new operating system for its virtual reality glasses, Apple Vision Pro, in version 2.
Additionally, we may even get to see new hardware announcements.
Although the nature of the conference is mostly software, last year's WWDC conference was full of product announcements, from the Apple Vision Pro augmented reality glasses to the 15-inch MacBook Air with the M2 chip.
The Mac Mini has been absent from recent product updates, so perhaps the company will announce a new version with an M3 chip.

And what about iOS 18?
According to reports, Apple may sign a deal with Google, OpenAI or Anthropic (or Baidu in China) to provide cloud-based artificial intelligence features, so that users can use and create advanced features even without a network connection.
Other reports claim that the new iPhone operating system will allow users to place apps anywhere on the home screen, will include support for RCS in the messaging app, along with other design changes.
