Four million people travel, for 32 million transits on its road and motorway network, between today and tomorrow. in view of the increase in traffic flows due to travel during the Easter holidays, to guarantee better practicability and prevent traffic disruptions, Anas, a company of the Infrastructure Hub of the Fs Italiane Group, has decided to remove 404 construction sites (63% of the total). On the remaining 242 immovable construction sites, an optimization program was instead planned on the days of greatest traffic with alternative routes for the most critical sections. And during the holidays, surveillance will be increased and the constant presence of staff guaranteed with 2050 resources on shift, technical and operational staff, plus 230 units from the Territorial Operations Rooms and the National Situation Room to ensure traffic monitoring in real time 24 hours a day. In particular, traffic growth is expected to be around 15% higher today, and around 5% higher tomorrow, compared to the weekly average. As in previous years, the destinations preferred by tourists are confirmed as Tuscany, Puglia, Campania and Sicily. Starting from Saturday 30 March, however, traffic will suffer a reduction of -4% to -8% compared to that of a normal day pre-holiday. A drop of -7% to -9% is expected for Easter Sunday. The reduction in the flow of vehicles on long distances is also expected for Easter Monday, Monday 1st April, with variations of around -4% compared to a weekday Monday. On Easter Monday, however, short-distance journeys for out-of-town trips to tourist locations increase. For returns to the big cities, traffic will be concentrated along the main routes starting from Tuesday 2 April. Among the itineraries affected: in Lazio, the GrandeRaccordo Anulare and the A91 Rome-Fiumicino; in the Milan area, state road 36 of Lake Como and Spluga; in Turin the RaccordoAutostradale 10 Torino-Caselle. Intense flows expected on the A2Autostrada del "Mediterraneo", on the state road 1 "ViaAurelia", on the state road 675 "Umbro-Laziale", on the state road 3 "bis Tiberina", on the state road 16 "Adriatica" between Puglia and Veneto and on the state road 7 "QuaterDomitiana" in Campania. To facilitate travel, the circulation of heavy vehicles will be suspended on Friday 29 March from 2.00 pm to 10.00 pm, Saturday 30 March from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm, Sunday 31 March and Monday 1 April from 9.00 am to 10.00 pm. In view of the counter-exodus, on Tuesday 2 April, the block will be in force from 9.00 to 14.00.
