Stolen vehicle trafficking has just been dismantled by investigators from the Val-de-Marne Territorial Security (ST 94). Six men were arrested on Thursday March 21, in several towns in the department, suspected of having stolen and disguised around twenty vehicles. The cars were then resold to individuals on the Internet. Some ended up simply deboned, with a view to reselling the spare parts on the black market.
With this particularity: the suspected traffickers did not hesitate to steal unmarked vehicles from the police. At the end of their police custody, the six suspects were referred. A judicial investigation was opened for “receiving”, “organized gang theft”, and “participation in a criminal association”, specifies the Créteil public prosecutor’s office. The six men were indicted. Three were placed in pre-trial detention, the other three under judicial supervision.
