It broke away from a machine used on a neighboring construction site and was propelled to the front of a supermarket, while Shane Reimche had just entered the establishment to make purchases.

The impact felt throughout the supermarket
The scene was immortalized by the video surveillance cameras at the entrance to the establishment. Shane Reimche can be seen entering the store, then a few seconds later, the wide blade of the circular saw passes between the cars parked in the parking lot and smashes against a pole of the supermarket, not far from the front door.
“I entered the store, I put my hand on the door and I heard a loud bang and screaming,” Shane Reimche told local channel Kezi 9. “I saw a blade of a five footer rushing towards me. At the last minute, I was able to take refuge behind the counter,” he continued.
The impact was so powerful that it was felt throughout the store, according to Amit Grewal, the store's owner. “We were standing behind the counter, and all I heard was metal rolling down the street,” he said. “It was just wind, and all of a sudden we heard a loud bang, which shook the whole store. »
