“We bring in the best,” assured Colonel Pierre-Yves Bardy on Monday. Commander of the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence gendarmerie group, he is in charge of the security system in the Haut-Vernet area, deployed after the discovery on Saturday of bones belonging to little Émile. The 2 and a half year old boy mysteriously disappeared last summer and had been wanted for nine months.
On site, to understand what could have happened, there are currently various specialists: anthropologists, crime scene fixers, dog teams specializing in the search for corpses... For these experts, it is a question of finding other bones or effects that belonged to the little boy and to understand if the remains found below the hamlet were moved, even though the area had been raked in recent months.
