Bones of little Émile, missing since July 8, 2023 in Haut-Vernet (Alpes de Haute-Provence) were discovered on Saturday morning near the hamlet of Haut-Vernet.
The discovery was made by a hiker, in an area which had already been searched by search teams.
Around a hundred gendarmes were engaged this Monday to resume searches in the area, despite unfavorable weather.

The skull of little Émile is among the bones found on Saturday by a hiker in the village of Haute-Provence, in an area already searched by investigators. New excavations were launched on Sunday in the area because the bones found were “incomplete”.
