SU7, the new electric car from the Xiaomi brand, in the first 24 hours of its launch on the Chinese market, was ordered for almost 90 thousand units, precisely, it received 88,898 orders. Carnewschina.com reports it. A figure which, considering the initial production capacity of 150,000 cars per year, indicates the exhaustion of orders for the current year. A success, therefore, also amplified by the fact that the equivalent of around 800 euros would have been enough to block the order. The price, in China, would have been designed to lower that of the Tesla Model 3, which is the designated rival, by around 4,100 dollars, just under 4,000 euros. The cost of the Xiaomi SU7 with 60 kWh battery, the entry level battery, in China thus falls below the psychological threshold of 30,000 dollars, in practice just under 28,000 euros.
The car that is produced in Beijing sees the AWD variant at the top of the range with a 101 kWh battery and 663 HP of power, with a declared autonomy of around 800 km.
