To best celebrate the next Hyundai N Festival, the Korean brand presented the Ioniq 5 N eN1 Cup, the racing car based on the new battery-powered sports car. The car in question uses the same fuel system as the Ioniq 5 N, the brand's first sports car to boast the letter N, is capable of delivering power of 650 HP, and uses the Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP ) from Hyundai with battery thermal management and a regenerative braking system. Furthermore, like the Elantra N1, the Ioniq 5 N eN1 Cup, which will be introduced this year, is aimed at professional drivers competing in the N1 class, and will operate under open regulations to allow teams to race with different tires without the need to rely, necessarily, on a single manufacturer.

On an aesthetic level, the car sports lowered and widened wheel arches, an increased track, as well as a front splitter and rear spoiler, to offer greater downforce. Furthermore, it is lighter than the version also intended for road use, thanks to the elimination of various components, and the presence of forged rims, FRP bonnet, and polycarbonate windows. There is no lack of a specific sound, which each team can curate, to offer greater involvement to the spectators of the competitions in which they will take part. "We are proud to present the Ioniq 5 N eN1 Cup, demonstrating our commitment to sustainable racing - said Till Wartenberg, vice president and head of N Brand & Motorsport - this one-of-a-kind electric racing car is a demonstration of our cutting-edge technology and our passion for driving."
