The 14-year-old girl was beaten Tuesday in front of her school. The three minors arrested, including a girl attending school

While young Samara, 14, emerged on Wednesday from the coma in which she was plunged following her violent attack in front of her college in Montpellier, the courts announced that three minors were indicted for attempted homicide. The three young people had been placed in police custody for attempted murder of a minor, according to a press release from the Montpellier public prosecutor's office (Hérault).

Young Samara was severely beaten on Tuesday April 2 around 4 p.m. in front of the Arthur-Rimbaud college, located in the La Mosson - La Paillade district in the northwest of Montpellier. One of the people arrested, aged 14, also attends the same establishment.

“I called the college several times”

Two other minors, aged 14 and 15, were then arrested and questioned under the same classification of “attempted murder of a minor under 15”. One of them was already known to the courts, again according to the same source.

“I had called the college several times to ask them not to let Samara go out after classes because the head teacher had called me at 12:30 p.m. to warn me. I had learned that a group of young people were waiting for her at the exit,” Hassiba, the young girl’s mother, told Le Parisien.

No seizure for acts of harassment previously

The prosecution also indicated that the courts “had not received any reports of acts of harassment against him”. For the Montpellier academy, the investigation “will make it possible to determine all the circumstances of the attack, including any acts of harassment which may have taken place beforehand”, according to a press release published Wednesday evening.

Samara's mother spoke again this Thursday on BFMTV, explaining that her daughter was still "very psychologically fragile" and suffering from a brain hemorrhage.

On RMC, the woman had also mentioned the recurring harassment to which Samara was subject according to her, affirming that the teenager at the origin of the phenomenon had already “been excluded for two days for a rape call”. The college, for its part, claimed not to have been made aware of any acts of harassment.
