The three young people, a girl and two boys, who had been in police custody since Wednesday following the attack on young Samara at the exit of Arthur Rimbaud college in Montpellier (Hérault), Tuesday April 2 at 4 p.m., were presented at the prosecution this Friday morning with a view to opening a judicial investigation into attempted intentional homicide of a minor under 15 years old. The young girl had been literally lynched following an ambush set up on the networks, and had been briefly plunged into a coma.
Pre-trial detention was requested for one of the schoolboys, aged 15, “suspected of having carried out the most violent blows”, indicates the public prosecutor in a press release.
According to the prosecutor, the three young people all admitted to having hit young Samara. The magistrate confirms that, at this stage of the investigations, the origin of the conflict would be the distribution of photographs posted online on discussion groups via social networks. “It appears that this attack takes place in the context of a group of adolescents who had the habit of insulting each other and posting respective photographs and those of third parties online in discussion groups created on instant messaging” , specifies the prosecutor.

Briefly heard given her state of health, the young Samara also confirms the violence, as well as others which allegedly took place a few days before the attack on Tuesday by one of the three schoolchildren. “At this stage”, acts of harassment for a longer period of time have not yet been mentioned, specifies the prosecution. While the judicial work continues, the academic inspection mission began its mission this Friday morning. The two inspectors dispatched to the site have eight days to try to shed light on what happened in the management of the harassment to which young Samara has been a victim for several months, according to her mother. In the morning, three people were received by the inspectors, including the mother of a 5th grade school student at Arthur-Rimbaud, who has also been the victim of harassment for several months. “They took notes. They said they were going to investigate, the woman said. It's been a year and a half since my boy was attacked. We insisted on meeting them. I sent several registered letters to the college, but they did not respond. I warned the CPE several times but they did not take it into account. I hope now that they will do something before it turns into drama and it escalates like it did with the little girl. »
