In the coming weeks, on dates still unknown, a new bright point will appear in the firmament. The nova, which will emerge from nothing in the constellation of the Corona Borealis, will suggest, as its name suggests, that it is a new star.
However, the so-called
T Coronae Borealis
already exists and is known to scientists. Every 80 years, this star simply gains in brightness and becomes visible to the naked eye. A spectacle that we can only contemplate, at most, twice in a lifetime and which will take place for a week, between now and September, perhaps even between now and May.
