It took the intervention of around forty firefighters to control the flames. On Sunday, around 11 p.m., a fire broke out in an accommodation and social reintegration center in Bordeaux.
According to France Bleu Gironde, this building housed several associations including Restos du coeur and Halte 33.
According to the first information communicated, it was a mattress which caught fire in a room on the first floor of the building which has two rooms.
Around twenty people had to be evacuated during the fire brigade's intervention. After being bothered by the fumes, a 53-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman were transported to hospital, again according to France Bleu.
In total, out of the 45 housing units in this residence, seven apartments were affected and nine people rehoused, three by the municipality, three by an association, three others by their own means.
