The futuristic Buick Wildcat EV concept that General Motors unveiled in 2022 could soon turn into a series model, assuming the company decides to proceed with investments in the field of total electrification. The production sedan that could result from this Concept - says GM Authority - should above all serve Buick to present and decisively affirm a new brand identity, also laying the foundation for future models.
According to GM Authority this style prototype is expected to be the basis for four new Buicks (all destined for the United States). These are the Envista, the renewed Encore GX of 2024, the Envision of 2024 and the future new generation Enclave scheduled for 2025. For other markets, such as China, the GM Group brand has already taken inspiration from the Wildcat EV for the LaCrosse of 2024 and for the GL8 Century released in 2023.
Design features include a forward-sloping front end and trapezoidal grille, as well as sharp body lines, with subtle upper lighting elements and sculpted shapes. The unveiling of the 2022 Buick Wildcat EV concept coincided - recalls GM Authority - with the release of Buick's new Tri-Shield badge.
