A man, suspected of being the perpetrator of a fatal knife attack during the night from Saturday to Sunday in Ars-en-Ré, on the island of Ré (Charente-Maritime), was arrested in the Paris region and placed in police custody, the La Rochelle prosecutor's office told us this Friday, confirming information from Sud-Ouest.
The young man was placed in police custody for “murder” and “trafficking in narcotics”, specifies the public prosecutor, Arnaud Laraize. He must be “redirected to La Rochelle” during his police custody, at the end of which a judicial investigation should be opened.

The autopsy also revealed that the aorta was affected during the attack.
