The Traffic Department at the Ministry of Interior indicated that the roads in the governorates are impassable except for several roads in the governorates of Damascus, Homs, Tartous, Lattakia, Al-Suwayda, Hama, and Daraa that are impassable due to the prevailing weather conditions.
The Traffic Department indicated in its publication this evening that SANA received a copy of it that the roads in the Damascus countryside governorate are passable except for the Boqasem Arana road in the Qatana area, the Jadida road, Yabus, the Zabadani road, Bloudan in the Zabadani area, the Assal Al-Ward road, the Jubbah area in the Yabroud area, the Rankus roads of Damascus, the Saydnaya of Damascus, the Tel Aviv of Damascus, the Aleppo of Damascus, Hafr, and Bada Damascus is hardly passable due to the accumulation of snow and the formation of ice, while the road of Hosh Arab Rankous in the hill region is impassable due to the accumulation of snow and the formation of ice. As for the roads in the Nabek area, all of them are passable with the formation of ice.
In Homs governorate, all roads are clear except for the Rabah Utan road and the Sheen short road appeared difficult to clear due to the formation of ice.
In the governorate of Hama, all roads are passable except for the jungle road, Al-Qandarah, Ain Al-Krum, the Shatah road, Juba Barghal, and the road of Goren, unfortable due to snow accumulation, and the formation of ice, and the Nahr Al-Bared road. Beit Yashout is passable due to snow accumulation, as well as Al-Qadmus and Al-Qudoos and Masyaf summer-roads, Ain Halayqim, with difficulty due to snow accumulation and a road Al-Shiha resort and the summer resort of Deir Mama, Al-Hailona, an impassable paradise due to snow accumulation.
In Lattakia Governorate, all roads are clear except for the Jubba Burgal Al-Ghab road, the Merkiyya Road Maqamat of Bani Hashem, the Mazira'a Road, Al-Masais and the Mazira'a Road, Ain Al-Dar / Deir Mama / Karam Al-Maasara / Al-Sarraj, are impassable due to the accumulation and snowfall and the formation of ice, while the road leading to the Al-Rabeiya district is difficult due to the formation of ice.
In Tartous Governorate, all roads are clear except the Dwer Raslan Road, Ain al-Dahab, which is impassable due to snow accumulation.
In the governorate of Sweida, all roads are passable, except for roads leading to Al-Mashnaf and Al-Kufr, which are difficult to clear due to the formation of thick fog.
The Traffic Department advised drivers to use lights for fog, check brakes, reduce speed at corners, slopes, road joints and drive with caution in order to avoid accidents, noting that they allocated numbers 5422703 and 5411365 to inquire about the condition of the roads.
