Turkish authorities have arrested 17 people on charges of association with the preacher Fethullah Gulen, whom the Recep Tayyip Erdogan regime accuses of being behind the July 2016 coup attempt.

Erdogan, the Anatolia news agency, quoted Turkish police sources as saying that "raids and arrests of 105 houses in the Turkish capital of Ankara were carried out earlier in the day and 17 people were arrested."

Since the coup attempt, the Erdogan regime has waged a massive crackdown on its opponents and opponents. Tens of thousands of people have been arrested and sacked in various civilian and military institutions in the country.
