Party Congress and Greenpeace Action: Where is the C of the CDU?

Confusion about a letter: The logo of the CDU in the Berlin party headquarters is missing C. Greenpeace claims to have stolen the letter. This contradicts the Secretary General.

Where did the C of the CDU stay? And in whose possession is it? In the Berlin CDU party headquarters is missing the big red letter C in the party logo of the CDU. Greenpeace activists claim they removed the letter on the glass façade of the Konrad Adenauer House on Thursday morning - this is now contradicted by Twitter on CDU General Secretary Paul Ziemiak.

"We were lucky again!", Writes Ziemiak. The original "C" was in Leipzig at the party convention of the CDU. "Greetings to Berlin," he wrote further and poses in a photo next to a larger than life C.

We had luck again! Because the original "C" is here in Leipzig at # cdupt19. Greetings to Berlin! @greenpeace_en pic.twitter.com/RtJUf1eibi

The environmental organization said it had removed the letter from the CDU logo in the morning. The remaining "DU" supplemented the activists with a lettering on the glass facade: "You should protect the climate". The action should be protested against the party's "disastrous climate policy," Greenpeace said. "The CDU must stand for C in their name."

The "C" in the CDU stands for "Christian". The party pretends that the activists want to protect the creation, but they owe the necessary measures.

I break up! This relationship has not been good for a long time. YOU did not deserve me. That's why I left. #UnlessC # CDUpt19 pic.twitter.com/GDfY54axMY

A Greenpeace spokeswoman said, "the C is now on a journey". Where did she not want to betray, only that the letter should appear in three places within Germany.

It's one word against the other. Most likely: The CDU has made the C with the federal party to Leipzig, Greenpeace used the gap for a PR coup.
