Hanochristmas here: Firewoods around the country stand next to the shops, and even at one school in Herzliya, the festivities went all the way. Everything is very bright and spectacular, it is eye catching, charming and photographed for great selfies. There is room for all cultures in the Israeli melting pot, but have we in all this pushed our Chanukah into a corner?

Dana Pan Luzon reminds us that Chanukah is more than a busy shopping center with ornate plastic trees.
