A telephone conversation was held between President Bashar al-Assad and President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, today, regarding the developments in the situation in Syria.
President Putin congratulated President Assad on the achievements made in the recent battles in Idlib, and briefed his Excellency on what was reached during his meeting with Russian officials with Turkish officials yesterday.
During the call, President al-Assad expressed his satisfaction for the achievements of the Russian leadership during the meeting with the Turkish in Moscow and the positive repercussions it could incur on the Syrian people at various levels, including humanitarian, social and economic conditions in the event that the Turkish side adheres to them.
It was emphasized during the call that the agreements reached are within the framework of efforts aimed at guaranteeing the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria, in addition to that it can help to create the conditions for the relaunching of the political process.
