The Tunisian parliament delegated to the Tunisian government the powers to issue decrees for a period of two months with regard to tackling the Corona virus and preventing its spread in the country.

The Tunisian newspaper, Al-Shorouk, reported that Parliament approved by a 178-vote majority of its deputies the bill 30 of 2020 related to the activation of Chapter 70 of the constitution that enables the government to issue decrees for two months regarding efforts to combat the Corona virus.

The Tunisian Ministry of Health announced yesterday that it had recorded 58 new cases of Corona virus, bringing the total number of infected to 553 confirmed cases and 19 deaths.
