(ANSA) - ROME, APRIL 24 - A "historical collaboration" to accelerate the development, production and distribution of the vaccine and coronavirus therapies was launched today by the UN Secretary General, AntonioGuterres, WHO director, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, and French President Emmanuel Macron. "I am particularly grateful to President Emmanuel Macron, to the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen and to Bill and MelindaGates for their leadership and support," said the WHO Director-General and also thanked the other world leaders who gave their support to the initiative. "WHO has been working with thousands of researchers worldwide to accelerate the development of a vaccine since January. United we will win the coronavirus," he said.
