Less than a month before the resumption of the French football championship, Mediapro is speeding up negotiations. After securing the broadcasting rights for more than 80% of L1 and L2 matches, the Sino-Spanish group has just signed a double-trigger agreement with Altice (SFR). On the one hand, Mediapro is securing the distribution of its new Téléfoot channel, which is due to start broadcasting in August to SFR subscribers. On the other hand, it is enriching its offer by buying the rights to the prestigious Champions League as well as the Europa League, which it will co-broadcast next season with RMC Sports, owned by Patrick Drahi.
