The French cyclist, one of the great protagonists of the last Tour, prevails in a reduced 'sprint' to Hirschi after attacking in the last port

Julian Alaphilippe (Deceuninck-Quick Step) won this Sunday in the second stage of the Tour de France, a 186-kilometer route starting and finishing in Nice, a tough day in the mountains that was decided in a 150-meter sprint against Marc Hirschi (Team Sunweb) and Adam Yates (Mitchelton-Scott).

The trio starred in the last escape of the day, ten kilometers from another finish in Nice, and the French cyclist knew better than his rivals to calculate his attack when the peloton was already on their heels. Alaphilippe, one of the great protagonists of the last Tour, is the new leader of the gala round.
