(ANSA) - ROME, SEPTEMBER 09 - The number of new coronavirus cases registered in the Netherlands in the last 24 hours is 1,140, the highest daily number since April. Health Minister Hugo de Jonge announced this, according to what was reported by the Guardian.
"It is not going the right way", commented the minister.
The day before, 964 new infections had been recorded, with a rapid increase among young people.
The Higher Institute of Health, however, has specified that the increase is not related to the reopening of elementary schools across the country three weeks ago. (HANDLE).
