Two female citizens were injured as a result of the explosion of what is likely to be a bomb while they were harvesting olives in Al-Shir village, east of Lattakia.
A source in the Latakia Police Command stated in a statement to SANA that an object believed to be a bomb buried in the dirt exploded in the agricultural lands of the village of Al-Shir, about 7 km east of Lattakia, while a number of citizens were picking olives, which resulted in the injury of two girls who were taken to Tishreen University Hospital in Lattakia to receive treatment.
A medical source at the hospital confirmed that the health status of the two injured people is good and stable, and there is no danger to their lives.
