Today, the US authorities announced that 13 people were injured when a boat with 21 passengers on board exploded in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
"The fire station received several emergency calls about a boat explosion on the new river," CNN quoted Stephen Golan, commander of the city's rescue battalion, as saying, noting that 13 people suffered from first to third degree burns.
Seven people were also transferred to a health center, two of them in critical condition.
The Fort Lauderdale Fire Department has opened an investigation to uncover the cause of the boat explosion.
