Kabul-SANA, at least 13 people were killed and more than 120 others wounded in a car bomb explosion in Ghor province, western Afghanistan.

At least 13 people were killed and more than 120 others were injured in a car bomb explosion in Ghor Province, western Afghanistan today.

The Associated Press quoted Tariq Aran, a spokesman for the Afghan Interior Ministry, as saying that "the car exploded at a police headquarters in Feroz Koh, the capital of Ghor State, near the entrance to the regional police chief’s office and other government buildings, killing at least 13 people and wounding more than 120 others."

Muhammad Omar Lalazad, director of a hospital in Ghor, said that the death toll was expected to rise because many people were seriously injured.

Seven soldiers and five Taliban militants were killed during clashes in the Imam Sahib district of Kunduz province in northern Afghanistan late last night.
