Another deadly shark attack on a popular but not patrolled Australian beach.

A man was killed Sunday morning by a 4-meter-high shark in shallow water at the Cable Beach of the Broome tourist center in Northwest Australia.

The beach is normally supervised by lifeguards but not between November and May, because it is the period when the very poisonous irukandi jellyfish are common in the water, as well as saltwater crocodiles.

The man in his 60s was brought ashore where he received medical treatment but died shortly after.
