This was pointed out to CNN by President Iván Duque, who explained that it is not about meanness towards migrants but rather a problem of the capacity of the health system and resources. The president also said that offering the vaccine to all migrants could unleash a migratory wave of Venezuelans who want to be vaccinated, putting at risk the supply of vaccines for Colombians themselves.
