The perturbation of Atlantic origin that is approaching Italy will bring strong winds and snowfalls in the next few hours even to lowlands in the central-northern regions and, subsequently, in the south of the country.


    Based on the available forecasts, the Civil Protection Department has issued a weather alert that predicts gale force winds on Sardinia from today and tomorrow's early hours on Liguria, Emilia-Romagna, Veneto, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Tuscany, Marche, Umbria, Lazio, Abruzzo, in extension to Campania, Molise, Puglia, Basilicata, Calabria and Sicily. In addition, tomorrow snowfalls are expected up to the plains of Valle d'Aosta, Piedmont, Lombardy, Veneto, the Autonomous Province of Trento, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Ligurian hinterland and Emilia-Romagna. The Department also assessed an orange alert on part of Emilia-Romagna and the Gargano in Puglia for tomorrow.
