The United Nations Mission to Support the Hodeidah Agreement in Yemen (UNMHA) expressed its concern about the escalation of violations of the ceasefire agreement in Al-Hudaydah Governorate, west of Yemen, in recent days.

The Saudi aggression and its mercenaries continue to target Hudaydah Governorate with various types of weapons, in continuous violation of the ceasefire agreement reached by the Yemeni parties during their talks in Sweden on the thirteenth of December 2018.

The United Nations mission said in a statement posted on its Facebook account: “We are closely following the worrying reports of intense clashes and breaches of the ceasefire in the southern districts of Al-Hudaydah Governorate, including in Hays and Al-Durayhimi, which report civilian casualties.” A reminder to the parties to the crisis in Yemen of their obligations to protect Population.

During the past twenty-four hours, the Saudi aggression forces committed 407 new violations of the ceasefire agreement in Hodeidah, particularly in the aforementioned directorates.
