At least 19 people are missing in Japan due to a landslide that hit the central eastern prefecture of Shizuoka, about 200 km south of Tokyo (ANSA)

At least 19 people are missing in Japan due to a landslide that hit the central eastern prefecture of Shizuoka today, about 200 km south of Tokyo: a local official said.

The landslide was caused by heavy rains that have been affecting the region for days.
