The 28-year-old Belgian striker has signed for five years at the club he left in 2014 • Will earn 12 million euros per season

Now it's official, Romulo Lukaku was bought from Inter by Chelsea, who paid him 115 million euros - the most expensive transfer in the history of the Blues, and the most expensive sale of a team in the Italian league.

The 28-year-old Belgian returns to the club where he previously played before being sold to Everton in 2014.

"I am happy and blessed to return to this great club. I was a Chelsea fan as a child. The way the club goes fits my aspirations perfectly. This opportunity comes just in time for me," the striker said after the signing.

Welcome home, @ RomeluLukaku9.

Last season Lukaku scored 24 goals in Serie A and led Inter to their first championship in a decade.

In the summer of 2011, when he was 21, he was bought by Chelsea from Anderlecht for 15 million euros but had a hard time adapting, did not get opportunities including Jose Mourinho and did not score a single goal in 15 appearances.

From there he moved to Everton in the media scoring 87 goals in 166 appearances.

He then progressed to Manchester United who also provided good numbers in the media - 42 goals in 94 appearances but his ability failed to bring the Reds back to the top.

From Old Trafford he moved to Inter, which he returned to be the best in Serie A.
