Death at 33 of Tom Parker, lead singer of British boy band The Wanted

DISAPPEARANCE – The members of the group founded in 2009, say they are “devastated by the tragic and premature death” of the singer who had announced his illness, a brain tumor, in October 2020.

British singer Tom Parker of boy band The Wanted died on Wednesday aged 33 from a brain tumor, the band announced.

The Wanted, formed in 2009, rose to international prominence in 2012 with the single

, which totaled more than half a million plays on Spotify.

The singer of the group had revealed his illness in October 2020. He had sung on stage with his group at the start of the year.

In a message posted on their Instagram account, the group said they were "devastated by the tragic and untimely death" of Tom Parker.

"Tom was an amazing husband to Kelsey, and father to Aurelia and Bodhi,"

the band members added.

He was our brother, words cannot express the loss and sadness we feel.

Forever in our hearts.”
