(ANSA) - NEW YORK, APRIL 05 - Elon Musk joins the Twitter board of directors.
He announces that the company is chirping, pointing out that it has reached an agreement with Tesla's patron so that he does not exceed the company's 14.9% stake.
Musk's tenure on Twitter's board of directors will expire in 2024 and during his tenure - and 90 days thereafter - Musk's stake in the company he chirps will not be able to rise above the set threshold.
Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal says he is "thrilled" by Musk's entry.
"He believes in service and is also critical of it which is what we need to make us stronger in the long term," says Agrawal.
The stock is up sharply on Wall Street for the second consecutive day.
