One of the largest and most important judo events in the world, the Masters competition, in which the first 36 athletes in the ranking take part, will be held in Israel this year - and is expected to open on December 19 in Jerusalem.

This is one of the most important competitions in the round, which the world tops do not give up, and it actually sums up the year just before the break.

In recent years, the prestigious competition has been held in China, Qatar and Russia, and will now reach the capital of Israel for the first time ever.

This is also the competition that gives a high score to the Olympic rankings ahead of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The gold medal is awarded 1,800 points, the silver 1,260 points, and the bronze 900 points - so you can expect big fights.

By comparison, the Grand Slam held in Tel Aviv earlier this year gives only 1,000 points for a gold medal.

Quite rarely, this year there will actually be two competitions (Grand Slam already held).

Such a thing does not usually happen except in countries like the homeland of the industry Japan or in France.

The competition will last for three days, and it joins the respectable list of competitions held in the country, after the 2018 European Championships, the European Under-23 Championships, the Grand Prix and in the last two years also the Grand Slam.
