Rape of a 96-year-old woman in Toulouse: the suspect's police custody lifted

The police custody of the man suspected of having raped a 96-year-old woman on Saturday at her home in Toulouse has been lifted, public prosecutor Samuel Vuelta Simon said on Sunday.

Saturday morning, shortly before 8 a.m., a home nurse surprised a man when he arrived at a nonagenarian patient.

After having put him to flight, she had warned the police.

The 96-year-old woman claimed to have been raped.

A man, arrested a few moments later, had been taken into custody.

On Saturday, the doctors confirmed traces of violence.
