A man on his deathbed hired a man to say his last words for him after his death - and confronted his best friend who tried to sleep with his wife while he was very ill.

Yes, this is not a joke or part of some upcoming movie.

Let's try to simplify it and explain - Bill Edgar was working as a private investigator in Queensland, Australia when he realized he could make money if he became "the voice of the dead at their funeral".

He got this job by accident when he was working for a client named Graham who only had a few months to live.

The two talked about the impending death and what would happen next, and the client revealed that he had expectations for his own funeral, and he wanted someone to confront his best friend on his behalf.

"He wanted me to expose his best friend who tried to sleep with his wife when he was already close to death," said Edgar, "he asked me to go against several people who are supposed to pay tribute to him because they haven't seen him in 30 years - so why would they say their words Now and didn't they take care of him when he was alive?"

As you can imagine, when Bill arrived at the funeral, people were shocked.

"I interrupted the funeral as you can understand. The people who loved the dead man were sitting there in mourning, and here is his best friend with a heartbreaking eulogy and then I stand up, stop the whole ceremony and tell him that he has to sit down and be quiet or go. The man in the coffin wants to say something - and then I opened the the envelope and I read aloud everything he wanted to say."

Since that funeral Bill calls himself "The Coffin Confessor" - the person to whom the dead confess.

He says he receives between 2,000 and 10,000 Australian dollars (about NIS 24,000) for a confession.

He even wrote a book about his experiences.

Although most of his cases are related to betrayals, other dead simply tell through him things that they found difficult to tell when they were among the living.

In one case a biker contacted Bill and asked him to reveal some facts about people in his family that he didn't want at his funeral, but it was more important to him to tell everyone that he was gay.

He was hired by him to tell this to his relatives and reveal his lover who was sitting in the crowd that day.

When Edgar was asked why people keep secrets until death and then choose to reveal them through him, he said: "Most of them do it because they don't have the strength to tell someone the truth to their face and hurt them."

Since sharing his unusual work, he has received calls from many, many people, and has even signed a deal with Fremont to make a movie about his life.

Although there are many actors who could play him, his dream is that Ryan Reynolds will play him: "He can be dark and funny at the same time. He's just like me."
