Unef is dead, long live Unef!
While the mobilization against the pension reform has given new color to student unionism, the National Union of Students of France (UNEF), a 116-year-old organization, is experiencing yet another split.
On April 4, the Alternative, a union close to La France insoumise (LFI), itself created by disappointed UNEF activists in 2019, skillfully staged secession.
