Unef is dead, long live Unef!
While the mobilization against the pension reform has given new color to student unionism, the National Union of Students of France (UNEF), a 116-year-old organization, is experiencing yet another split.
On April 4, the Alternative, a union close to La France insoumise (LFI), itself created by disappointed UNEF activists in 2019, skillfully staged secession.

Seventeen local sections of Unef and eight members of its national leadership have decided to join forces with us to create a new union
