A great achievement for Paralympic rower Moran Samuel, who won the silver medal today (Saturday) at the European Championships, held in Bled, Slovenia.

Samuel, 41, the silver medalist from the Paralympic Games in Tokyo two years ago, led the half-distance but eventually crossed the 2,000 meters with a time of 10:07.97, ahead of only Norwegian Birgit Skarsteen with 10:05.80.

In the men's race, Shmulik Daniel – who injured his back during an operational operation at Har Dov – finished in a respectable fourth place, after finishing the final with a time of 9:40.96 minutes, and was 12.7 seconds away from the bronze medal. First place was won by Italian Giacomo Perini with 8:55.08.
